Zoom scams are on the rise know how it is initiated and ways to safeguard yourself below.

How The Scam Is Initiated

An out of state lead will contact saying they found your information on the web and are looking to purchase real estate in Oregon. They will then ask to meet via Zoom. The link they send is actually Malware.

Other Versions of This Scam

• You may receive an email warning that your Zoom account will be deactivated and it will contain a malicious Zoom link.

• You may receive "Missed a meeting" or "Rejoin" emails which contain the malicious Zoom link.

Although Zoom is the most commonly utilized for this scam be aware that there have been reports of this scam also ran on platforms such as: SnapChat, WhatsApp, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meetings.

Always be vigilant when a lead initiates communication, verify first, and best practice is to host any remote meetups yourself instead of relying on potentially dangerous links from untrusted sources.

How to Access Paragon Connect:

Paragon Connect can be accessed multiple ways, below are a few:

If Not Logged in to Paragon Professional:

1. Click "Paragon Login" on wvmls.com from a mobile device, if it is your first time visiting this login on your device it will come up with a prompt asking if you'd like to proceed to Paragon Connect.

2. Go to https://wvmls.paragonrels.com/ParagonConnect/wvmls/login to login.

If Logged in to Paragon Professional (these methods will automatically log you in to Paragon Connect):

1. Click Paragon Connect in the main menu (located next to Preferences).

2. Click Resources in the main menu and then Paragon Connect in the dropdown menu.

Features Exclusive to Paragon Connect:

• An improved reverse prospecting tool that works off an opt-out system. Read more about this feature.

• The ability to setup Hotsheet Alerts which are targeted searches that you can utilize to stay current on market happenings in the targeted area(s). The alerts are in a Widget on the homepage of Paragon Connect and can be manually checked on login. Read more about this feature.

• EasyCMA a CMA creation tool that allows you to create a CMA presentation for Residential subject properties.

• Customizable Themes. Allowing you to choose from a set of banners and customize the colors in the application.

  
  

Common Misconceptions about Paragon Connect:

Misconception: Paragon Connect is really only for use on Phones and Tablets.

Reality: Paragon Connect was designed to be responsive* and works on Desktops, Laptops, Mobile Phones, Tablets, and other devices that have an internet browser.

Misconception: Paragon Connect doesn't have the same features as Paragon Professional

Reality: Paragon Connect has almost entire feature parity with Paragon Professional. At time of writing the main features missing from Connect are a full-featured CMA Wizard and Statistics module.

How Do I Access Paragon Connect?

There are multiple ways to access Paragon Connect's login. Below are three ways with brief guides for each way. No matter which method the login credentials used for Paragon Connect are the same as your Paragon login information:

QR Code Method

Using your mobile device's camera app (if you have an older android you might have to download a QR code reader) point it at the QR code above. A link will pop up which when clicked will take you to the Paragon Connect login page.

Paragon Professional Resources Method

Sign into Paragon Professional and navigate to Resources found at the top. With this drop-down menu open click Paragon Connect. This will take you to Paragon Connect automatically (since you've already signed into Paragon).

Paragon Login Method

Navigate to the Paragon Login, (easily accessible via the black knight image on the frontpage of wvmls.com). On the login page right below the password field is a link titled "Access Paragon Connect" this link will take you to the Paragon Connect login page.
